The Doctor’s House is a 200-year-old former Dutch and Ayurvedic hospital on the south coast of Sri Lanka, in the beach village of Madiha. In 2016 two Australian guys turned it into a bar, restaurant, shop and hotel. They openly admit to having zero hospitality experience.
The plan was simple: good vibe, a bit of fun, and the coldest beers on the island. It worked. Ten years on, the garden is one of the most loved hangouts on the south coast.
